An Eventful Day of Snowfall!

What a pleasant surprise this storm has brought! We’re now at 8-11 inches of natural snowfall and we’re ready to start snowmaking as soon as we get a chance! Be sure to join us this weekend and if you’re traveling through the mountain area you’ll want to keep up with our Snow Report for all the latest updates including road conditions! The Snow Gods Have Heard Your Prayers!

The snow started to fall from the sky this morning and is continuing to snow as the day continues… It’s panning out to be much more substantial of a storm than originally thought. We are expecting up to a foot of natural snow by tomorrow morning which is great news for all you boarders and skiers out there! You can expect conditions of fresh powder and packed powder and with the cold weather that is behind this storm you can also expect more snowmaking in the forecast. Good news, everyone!

Locally-produced Ben’s Weather is calling for snow this weekend! Should be a great kickoff to the weekend. Bear is still planning to open for daily operations on Friday, Dec. 12. Right now the plan is to have Chair 1 open to start, and more as conditions improve. In the meantime, use your Bear Only pass at Summit this week. We just confirmed that they brought 6 skill-builder features back to Miracle Mile. Mammoth Mountain got top-to-bottom open last weekend. Now is a great time to upgrade to the 4-resort Cali4nia Pass.
