Today is the second official day of our Holiday period and holiday rates are in effect. Snow Summit is offering night skiing/snowboarding tonight through January 4th with the exclusion of Christmas Eve (Dec 24th). Park Staff, as always, has been hard at work creating the most exciting, influential and creative features that any level of skier or snowboarder can enjoy and even excel on. Cold weather has hit Big Bear and we are taking full advantage of these great snowmaking conditions. Our system has been making snow for over 24 hours now and we plan to continue as long as conditions permit. Snowmaking plus the 3-4 inches of fresh snow we received yesterday means more runs and features! As of 8:00pm we have received 1-3 inches of snow and it is still snowing. We hope to wake up tomorrow with a powder day in store for you. At this time all roads leading into Big Bear are open with chains required on all vehicles except 4WD with snow tires. It may take you a little extra time to get here in the morning but it is going to be well worth it.
