Bear Mountain First Day Starts with First Chair

Bear Mountain is officially open, “HERE WE GO!” Starting strong with a top to bottom riding experience as we sprinkled in 25 features for you to hit. Chair 9 got it started this morning as the first chair got to the summit, riders and skiers got a taste of a park with a higher standard. It’s got to be premium quality, “Bear Built”, cuz that’s what you’ve come to expect from us. You’re gonna hit a park that we’re proud of. You’ll see some new boxes, down rails, it’s one of the best openings ever here at Bear Mountain. Chairs []


Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Bear Mountain, where our park staff rides as good as they build! We will be open all day and night for skiing and snowboarding. 1-2 More Nights of Snowmaking!

With this weekend’s storm we received 2-4 inches of natural snow and cooler temps that have allowed us to begin making snow. Weather reports predict more snow showers throughout the week and we will continue to make snow as conditions permit. All we need is 1-2 more nights of good snowmaking weather and we will be able to open for the 2013-14 winter season. At Bear Mountain we pride ourselves on offering a quality park from the features and terrain to the coverage and snow quality. This is why we are not rushing to open, but taking our time and []

Weather this nice makes snowboarding feel unreal! That is why guys like JP Walker, Brandon Hobush, Scott Stevens, and Zak Hale love riding here! That’s right all of them and more are here right now. They are here filming for parts, getting lots of pictures, and most noticeable they are all having fun times in our park! We offer a park that feels like a playground to riders. Snow Report

Old Man Winter might be dropping in on Big Bear this week with a chance of snow today through Friday night. Skies are forecast to clear out by Saturday, providing excellent conditions for all you Weekend Warriors. Keep checking the forecast while you’re making plans to be here this weekend. We have a really fun park set-up right now! Chair 6 has all sorts of smaller boxes and rails including a mini Battleship flat bar as well as some fun snake lines and easier jumps. Chair 5’s jump line, wall, jibs, and both halfpipes receive less traffic and can provide some nice getaway laps []
