Completely Rebuilding Our Park

With over 6 days of snowmaking and a few natural snowfalls including 1 to 2 new inches overnight our conditions have drastically improved! All this new snow means we can rebuild our park. Expect big changes top-to-bottom throughout the week including a new double jump line on lower Park Run that is already open. Other new features include an up box to tank tap, an all new massive quarterpipe wall, and new jibs everywhere. Basically, the People’s Park is the best it has been all year! End 2013 With A Bang

We have a number of events beginning this week, starting with our annual New Years Eve party! DJ Club George will be in spinning records all night while the signature cocktails flow! Did you know that any Bear Mountain pass is good for night sessions at Snow Summit? Summit has scheduled night sessions all week and every night at around 5 they put a fresh groom on the park run! It’s Snowing!

As of 8:00pm we have received 1-3 inches of snow and it is still snowing.  We hope to wake up tomorrow with a powder day in store for you.  At this time all roads leading into Big Bear are open with chains required on all vehicles except 4WD with snow tires.  It may take you a little extra time to get here in the morning but it is going to be well worth it. Snowmaking resumed last night and we have added a few new features to the People’s Park, including the slanted C box and the bent down-flat-down rail. []


More Runs, More Features, More Fun.

  Today we are opening Hidden Valley and Central Park in addition to yesterdays opening of Amusement Park and The Scene. The majority of the Red Bull Plaza is now open and the park has a fresh new look from last weekend’s set-up. Night session returns to Snow Summit tonight from 3pm-9:30pm. All season passes are welcome including your Bear Mountain only pass so head over there and check out their park set-up on Westridge/ ZZYZX! 4 Inches Fresh Pow

Yesterday’s snowstorm brought us 4+ inches of fresh powder! Today’s forecast is calling for clear blue skies and plenty of fun! Always hard at work, our entire snow staff takes pride in making your Bear experience an enjoyable one. With ever changing and evolving park terrain to state of the art snowmaking technology we are proud to be a part of the funnest mountain in southern California for freeskiers and snowboarders.
