Park Run Face received a good amount of snowmaking this week and now both hips in powder bowl are open! Skip the jibs in the gulch for some air time on Park Run. The Red Bull Plaza has also opened up more features and a smaller jump line was built on lower park run. Today we opened Rip’s Run. Next to open is Hidden Valley, Amusement Park, and Central Park. We gained another 2-4 inches of snow last night and have continued to make snow while conditions permit. New forecasts show another storm rolling in on Thanksgiving that could potentially bring some more snow! Despite the recent snowfall and snowmaking we don’t have a set opening date yet. Always carry chains and drive carefully while winter weather is in effect.
All around town Mother Nature is showing signs of fall coming to an end. The colorful trees are starting to loose their leaves, frost covers the ground most mornings and Snow Guns can be seen all over the slopes. Now all we need is some cold dry air and the snow making can begin! As we start making snow we will have a better estimate of when our opening day for the winter season will be.
