Winter has Arrived

Better late than never! After a month long warm spell and a snow drought we are back to winter. Roughly two inches of snow layered our slopes Thursday night and cold temps ever since have provided perfect snowmaking conditions. This cool trend is forecasted to last over a week and we will be taking full advantage of it. We plan to make snow at every available opportunity during this cold streak. Yesterday in The Scene was Volcom’s Peanut Butter & Rail Jam. With over 100 competitors and 3 different age and gender groups the riders charged the course leaving everything []

It’s About Time!

It’s hard to believe the first storm of the season hit us yesterday and only brought us 2 inches! We have been lucky in many ways and have remained nearly unaffected by the snow drought. Sure we’d lovvveeee more snow (pow turns and tree riding? Yes, please) but our snowmaking and park crew have been killing it when it comes to keeping the coverage in the park good and the features on point. This recent snowstorm brought us only a few inches but it sure has been enough to really amp up the coverage to midwinter conditions and brought with []

Thirsty Thursday

Come ride the morning till early afternoon while the spring conditions are great for park riding and when you get a little parched take a little walk towards a refreshing Beer or Bloody Mary at our Beach Bar. The Beach Bar is a perfect place to enjoy a cocktail and watch whats happening in The Scene. Since the conditions feel a little like spring we are gonna party like it’s spring break!

Park Firing on All Cylinders!

While many people are battling spring conditions we are embracing it! Why? Because nothing beats those sunny sweatshirt days on the slopes with all your buds! Especially when the park is stacked. Whenever we get any snowmaking opportunities we focus our firing power on Park Run most of the time which is why it still has good coverage and tons of features. We are staying focused on our park and doing everything possible to keep it fun and diverse! While we are on that note we should give a HUGE shout out to Dan Neilson and his Park Crew, they []

Wednesday Never Looked So Good

Getting through a work week at Bear seems like a breeze. No lift lines, exciting features and fun for everyone! Since mother nature is hoarding all the snow, we took it upon ourselves to make our own. Since we got that covered we also took it upon ourselves (we, being Dan Nielson and park crew)  to build and maintain the BEST park around! Come see for yourself, Bear is progressive despite this dry warm winter. Regarding Snow Summit: Friday, January 24th Night Session is cancelled. All Night Session Season Pass holders are invited to go to Guest Services to receive a []
