Mt Hood Snowboard Camp is Coming to Bear

After 9 inches of new snow from the recent storm, there’s a renewed energy and attitude in the mountains. Whether you started doing the snow dance correctly or you finally washed the car in the hopes to bring snow, something worked. Keep doing what you’re doing, because another storm is brining snow as soon as Friday night. Your mid-week riding should be great, then the snow storm this weekend and that should make for another great week of sliding followed by High Cascade Snowboard Camp (HCSC) on March 7th and 8th. The camp is open to riders aged 9 to 18 []

8 to 12 Inches of New Snow Expected

USASA started the day at Powder Bowl for the Boardercross competition. People came from all over to compete today, a few from Mammoth, some from Tahoe, LA, OC, and our surrounding areas. KPWR hosted the annual “Snowed In” event on the deck with Flo Rida and winner of American Idol, Jordin Sparks. The weather decided to cooperate and waited until the event was over, to really start snowing. According to the National Weather Service, snow will become heavier and steadier overnight we’re expecting new snow accumulation of 8 to 12 inches or more above 6000 feet. If you’re savvy, you []

Good thing we are in Big Bear, it’s different here. One huge difference is the water supply. Water is one of the main ingredients in real snow and []

Join us on Sunday for the Snowed In Concert

On Sunday Power 106 will be here and they are hosting their annual party starting at 10am. Musical guest’s Flo-Rida, Jordin Sparks & Liane V start their magic at noon. This one time you will want to get “Snowed In”. The concert is FREE to all ticket holders, so take advantage of a day on the deck. We have more open terrain than any other SoCal resort that is still open. Why have we been able to stay open while others have had to close? Well that’s all thanks to our World Class Snow Making System, our tireless snow makers and []

Air + Style Is Almost Here

The 21st annual Air + Style event to be held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena is only a few days away and our crew is on site prepping the event. After catching up with the team today we were able to hear how the progress is coming. Currently the ramp is being covered with snow and the work is being done to finish the landing and the run out. Our crew is working into the evening as they work on the drop in and take off. We’re stoked that in only a matter of a few days that we’ll []
