Snowmaking Gods

All hail our snowmaking system and snowmakers! Here’s some midweek news your ears want to hear. Our Snowmaking crew deserves some recognition for all their hard work lately. They’ve been killin’ it with making snow the last few days. This snow drought is not stopping us from making snow and keeping the best snow conditions around. Mother Nature has been quite stingy lately but at least she has been giving us the perfect temperatures and humidity to make snow, which will make awesome conditions this holiday weekend. Not only is Snow Summit bringing back night riding sessions this Friday but they have []

Storm System Rolling Through

Cold weather has hit Big Bear and we are taking full advantage of these great snowmaking conditions. Our system has been making snow for over 24 hours now and we plan to continue as long as conditions permit. Snowmaking plus the 3-4 inches of fresh snow we received yesterday means more runs and features! At this time all roads are open, for chain restriction information visit our snow report or Caltrans website.   We now have Chair 4 open accessing Exhibition and next on our list is the Halfpipe and Showtime. If you haven’t seen the park lately there has []

Snowmaking Continues

This current storm system brought with it some seriously chilly temperatures and while that is AWESOME for snowmaking its pretty cold up on the mountain. Today’s high will be around 32 degrees so layer up and grab a bloody mary at the Beach Bar to keep warm! If these temperatures continue we will be able to keep making snow and will be able to open even more runs soon! This weekend we will be at the Los Angeles Convention Center for Ski Dazzle. We will have season passes on sale with a show special of $30 off plus a FREE []

3 Inches of Fresh Snow Sunday

Temperatures dropped yesterday bringing 3 inches of new snow and a great snowmaking run lasting 36 hours! More snow means more park changes on there way! Central Park is on point right now with a slope-style course type setup that has a skate style down-bar, to road gap, into a jump line! It also has a big wall ride, some beginner/ intermediate jumps and rails, and both halfpipes!
