We’re still making snow when we can! We made snow over night last night throughout the resort to help improve coverage and make your day riding at Bear more enjoyable! Now effective, both Snow Summit and Bear Mountain will be open from 9am-4pm Monday-Fridays and 8:30am-4pm on weekends. We are also lowering our prices for this upcoming weekend to the mid-week rate! With this weekend’s storm we received 2-4 inches of natural snow and cooler temps that have allowed us to begin making snow. Weather reports predict more snow showers throughout the week and we will continue to make snow as conditions permit. All we need is 1-2 more nights of good snowmaking weather and we will be able to open for the 2013-14 winter season. Winter will be here before we know it and the anticipation is nearly killing us! I don’t know about you, but my office is filled with dozens of snowboard and ski magazines, YouTube is open in the background of my computer with Bear Mountain’s channel on repeat and our TV is playing one continuous loop of some of winter videos. Even my snowboard is waxed up and leaning up against the wall begging for a little fresh air.
