We had a great time ringing in 2015 with you last night! The foot of fresh, champagne powder we got yesterday is making for pristine skiing and riding conditions. We’ve opened 76 features on 18 trails with 10 lifts. The roads are still R2 on SR 330/18 and SR 38, which means chains for all 2WD vehicles and all 4WD vehicles must have snow tires or chains. The storm is already rolling in. Now it’s time to wait for the snow to fall. If you’re planning on attending our New Year’s Eve bash, now is the best time to drive up! You can wake up tomorrow in a winter wonderland ready to ring in 2015 with us. We’re expecting to get a few inches of fresh snow tonight and for snowfall to continue through tomorrow. Currently the roads are clear and open. We’ll be updating weather and road conditions as the storm develops. As always, don’t forget your tire chains!
In addition to Showtime and Hidden Valley, our snow makers got Badlands, Exhibition and Silver Connection open! Central Park has two new features and 2 new jibs AND there is a Step Up on Expressway. The snow forecast is looking better and better…some are even saying the snow could fall as low as the Inland Empire! 2014 is definitely going out with a bang!
Showtime and Hidden Valley are scheduled to open for business tomorrow, bringing our overall trail count up to 12! We’re still making snow and tonight’s super cold, dry weather means even more snow making! If you’ve been taking lessons at Bear, you can use your lift ticket over at Snow Summit and try your hand at one of their low intermediate or intermediate runs.
