TALES FROM THE DAWG: Team Rider Scotty Vine

“Really stoked to see what Bear has to offer this season.”  Those are the words of Scotty Vine (team rider) who we recently caught up with while he was packing to go on a road trip across the country.  What’s he been up to lately?  Well he chatted about a couple of upcoming video projects to be released this Fall, including his Full Part IV with Arbor Snowboards, the Postcard Series V2.  He also made it up to Mt. Hood for a couple of sessions including one with High Cascade, but most of all he’s just been enjoying his time [...]

TALES FROM THE DAWG: Team Rider Zak Hale

Zak Hale… We caught up for a quick interview with him a few weeks ago and just as his tricks are nicely pulled off his comments were straight and to the point.  Hale’s been living in San Clemente this summer and he’s there until October when he starts moving around for the winter season.  He just been doing his thing… surfing, skating and doing his physical training. But even though Utah will be his base camp Hale is excited to come back to Bear once the winter hits and of course for this year’s 11th Annual Hot Dawgz and Hand [...]

Arbor Snowboards Wins BOTB 2013

Battle Of the Brands is a video voting contest held every year on snowboardermag.com, and this year team rider Scott Vine helped seal-the-deal for Arbor Snowboards. He Stomped the first ever One-Footed Double Back Flip to end the already awesome edit. BOTB is where industry brands attending the 2013 Super Park event make edits of their team. Snowboarder Magazine then creates a bracket and the edits go head to head with your voting picking who moves on. The competition was stiff this year with big teams bringing out big riders. Congratulations to Scott Vine and the rest of the Arbor [...]

Team Rider Scotty Vine Lands One-Footed 720 Back Flip

After 2 years of planning, Bear Mountain  Team Rider Scotty Vine landed the first ever one-footed double back flip Friday May 10th at  Snowboarder Magazine’s Superpark 17 event at Mt. Bachelor in Oregon. While many believe the trick impossible Vine landed it with the style and ease he is known for including a nose grab and perfect landing. “When I decided to learn the one-foot double backflip, I started by practicing one-foot singles with a nose grab such as doing about 30 of them one day at Boreal Mountain. That’s when I really memorized the motion. After waiting for two [...]
