Clouds threatened to cover the sun today but it looks like the sun wins! This weekend will be mostly sunny and cool keeping the snow in tip-top shape. The Powder Bowl jump was rebuilt this past week and Park Staff mixed up the jibs to keep things fresh, you can also look forward to a rebuild on Central Park run in the near future. If you haven’t had enough park riding after Bear closes at 4:30 then head over to Westridge at Snow Summit for the last night session of the season. College students get $10 off their night session tix too!

As you all know, we’ve had one heck of a year in terms of snow. We already have 10-11 feet of natural snow this season! That’s insane! It’s making for amazing spring time conditions and some really solid jumping. The natural snow makes for perfect building substance. We can make the lips wider and taller, the decks a little longer, and some nice steep landings. I’m out there everyday taking pics, and it’s really fun to watch everyone take advantage of all our sick jumps. I’m starting to see more and more people hit the top one; and a lot of you are really progressing. Gambler has been getting a lot of love as well. Being my favorite jump in the park, it’s exciting to see everyone enjoy it as much as I do. Keep up all the hard work; everyone here is stoked.

O.K, are you ready? Tomorrow is a going to be a doozey of a day up here at Bear Mountain. We got a full schedule of events, and a lot of fun to be had! First off, the War of the Rails competition that we’ve been telling you about for months starts tomorrow. Bear team rider Craig Coker is going to be hosting the event, so you know it’s going to be a good one. Next on the list….

We have the Volcom t-shirt screening taking place right in front of the Ice Box (our sports shop). They’re just going to be hanging out, soaking up that Cali sun, and giving away FREE t-shirts! First 100 people get a FREE Volcom/Bear Mtn t-shirt, so get there early! Last but not least, KCXX is going to be bringing up Smile Empty Soul to rock out on the ever-so-famous Bear deck. We’re going to be jamming out and watching some crazy skiing, all in our fresh, new Volcom shirts. It’s going to be a lot fun, hurry up…we’ll be waiting for you!
