Air + Style in the US for the First Time

Shaun White, born in San Diego, spent his formative years riding Bear Mountain. He was skiing until he followed in his older brother’s footsteps when White switched to snowboarding at age six, and a year later, he received his first sponsorship. White participated in three Winter Olympics so far. At both the 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics, winning gold in the snowboard halfpipe event. He’s also participated in the Winter X Games, where he has won a medal every year since 2002. He’s also won in the Air & Style Contest in 2003 and 2004. Air + Style is on it’s []

Hope You Had a Great Weekend

It was an eventful weekend. Shaun White came to ride our “Bear Built” park while he promoted Air + Style. He met, shook hands, signed autographs and took selfies with what seemed like an endless line of fans. We got the 18 foot half-pipe done in time for the USASA, the same organization Shaun rode for as a kid. The USASA half-pipe competition was a success and in The Scene we had some fun on the 14 foot bag jump. The Dos Equis Airbag wrapped up the first of three weekends that we’ll be hosting it. If you want to []

One of the Best Rider in the World Came to Ride One of the Best Parks in the World

Shaun White is in the house. He’s riding one of the best parks in the world with the best snow in all of Southern California. You know you’re getting your money’s worth when you have access to the largest beginner area that’s great for learning and practice. The “Bear Built” features are built by some of the same crew members that set up the X Games features. There’s a higher standard in design and build when we call it “Bear Built” and that is why two time Olympic Gold Medalist Shaun White is back to riding his old stomping grounds. []

The Stars Are Aligning for a Great Week of Riding

It was a great weekend of new snow, PBRJ competition, our first annual Powder Bowl, and a bluebird Super Bowl Sunday. Have a safe drive home and slower vehicles, please use the turnouts. It’ll be less stressful without a tailgater behind you. Monday will look much like today with mostly sunny skies and mild temps. First chair to take you to the top of the park or the beginner area starts at 8:30 am. You’ll be mashing on a base depth of 8-24” with an extra 5” from the storm over the weekend. 140 “Bear Built” features will be reshaped []
