Park Crew has been fine tuning things the past few days but last night they added some big changes! Today in the park you will find an all new wall ride, the Park Run hips in Powder Bowl are open, 2 more Red Bull Plaza wall rides have been finished plus a new beginner jump line in Lower Park Run. 4 Inches Fresh Pow

Yesterday’s snowstorm brought us 4+ inches of fresh powder! Today’s forecast is calling for clear blue skies and plenty of fun! Always hard at work, our entire snow staff takes pride in making your Bear experience an enjoyable one. With ever changing and evolving park terrain to state of the art snowmaking technology we are proud to be a part of the funnest mountain in southern California for freeskiers and snowboarders. Bear Mountain Opens Wednesday

IT’S OFFICIAL! We’re opening for the 2013-14 winter season this Wednesday November 27th at 8:30 am! We will have Chair 9 open top to bottom with terrain features. This will include trails: Upper Park Run, Expressway, The Gulch, and Lower Park Run. Please note that the runs off Chair 9 are intermediate to advanced. There will be NO beginner trails available on opening day as Chair 9 will be the only chair open. Plan on arriving early as ticket sales may be limited due to limited terrain. 1-2 More Nights of Snowmaking!

With this weekend’s storm we received 2-4 inches of natural snow and cooler temps that have allowed us to begin making snow. Weather reports predict more snow showers throughout the week and we will continue to make snow as conditions permit. All we need is 1-2 more nights of good snowmaking weather and we will be able to open for the 2013-14 winter season.
