After Friday’s 12-14 inches of fresh snow, we’re ready for another great day at Bear! Temps are a little warmer today with a high of 45, making for great shred weather. All roads are open and clear, the sun is out and the park is stacked. Plus we have the best snow conditions in SoCal, so what more could you ask for on your Sunday Funday? Transworld TransAm is a wrap, but we’re still in competition mode with USASA’s Halfpipe event today. Remember that Daylight Savings starts today and so do our new operating hours. Lifts open at 8:30am today!
We received 12-14 inches of so far and its not done yet! The storm is forecast to last the rest of today and into tomorrow, then clearing up for a fun powdery weekend! Remember that Snow Summit’s final night session of the 2012/13 season will be tomorrow, March 9th. There is no night session tonight. This weekend is also the Transworld TransAM 8th and last stop in the competition before finals! Remember to change your clocks this Sunday for Daylights Savings Time. We’ll be springing forward with new operating hours.
The holiday period is over and as students head back to class and workers get back to the office, the runs clear up and this is when Bear gets prime! With little to no lift lines, wide open runs and easy parking, midweek riding is the best. If you need to head home early, turn your ticket in by 1:00pm and receive a voucher for up to $15 towards your next visit. Midweek riding offers so many benefits it’s definitely worth checking out. Our awesome and dedicated staff and Park Crew has been working together around the clock to keep you having fun on the snow! The Park has undergone a few changes with a new feature count of 15 jibs and 8 snow features. Chair 1 is open with a few fun jib lines down Expressway, The Gulch and Lower Park Run. Chair 7 accessing Inspiration run is also open for beginners. Lift tickets are just $35 for Adults, $30 for Young Adults and $15 for groms and you can get them inside the rental shop or Guest Services office. Enjoy!
