Volcom Stone’s Peanut Butter & Rail Jam 2013 stop #3 is in the books! Messy craziness irrupted when the feeding frenzy of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches broke out. But the real action was up in The Scene where there was a wild set-up! With corrugated tubes sticking out of other features, the Oxymoron on top of a nicely shaped quarter-pipe, a steep handrail into a banked U-box, plus a Bear Mountain tree to stall at the bottom! If heading up to Bear Mountain this weekend, make sure to check out Volcom’s Peanut Butter Rail Jam on Sunday the 15th. You can still enter here and some spots will be available the morning of the event. Registration is at 8am sharp. Saturday Power 106 will be playing on the sundeck then the Winter Concert Series will be in the Board Room from 3pm to 7pm with Curious Primate.
Temps cool down a little bit today bringing us a high of 43 degrees. We had a great night of snowmaking and we expect to make even more tonight. The park is still killing it. Last week’s warm weather didn’t even slow us down, we’ve been getting new hits and new features every day including The Superpipe! Director of Park Development, Clayton Shoemaker, is planning on making even more changes this coming week; so there will be plenty to look forward to.
