It’s Really Good Up Here

If the other resorts say that they’re “Temporarily Closed” do we have to say we are “Temporarily Open?” We’ve been open daily since the beginning of the season and we’re still going strong. One Hour Forward or Back?

There are so many things going on this weekend, this Bear’s head is spinning. Today was the first day of High Cascade Snowboarding Camp. Riders are getting coached on their skill sets, polishing up on maneuvers to get ready for the TransAm 2015 Finals for next weekend at Bear. Daylight saving time happens on Sunday morning, March 8 at 2:00 a.m. If you’re wondering whether to go one hour forward or backward, the term “Spring forward – fall back” should help you remember. The Weather is in Your Favor

Tomorrow marks the beginning of the High Cascade Snowboarding Camp. This is one way to prepare for the upcoming TransAm Snowboarding Tour 2015 Finals. While some participants attend camp to improve on the skill set they already posses, there are others putting in work to polish up for the competition. While the snowboard camp is going on, you’ll also see a big group of Scouts. The Boy Scouts of America will be here for their annual Scout Day where they will be afforded the opportunity to earn the snow sports merit badge. If you could pick only one day out of the entire year to ride, it’s easy.  Pick any day this week.  Earlier this week featured some great powder days and today featured sunshine, blue skies, a perfect temperature, amazing snow texture and tons of snow to go around… you can’t ask for more. This is what we live for. Get Some Midweek Glory

The forecast for tomorrow calls for sunny skies and a high of 42. If you ask anyone that rides all the time, they will tell you the current conditions are excellent in terms of visibility, comfort, snow quality and texture. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just learning, you need to take time off your regularly scheduled program and come play in the best conditions of the season.
