Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding Park
You ask and we deliver and that’s why Bear Mountain is “The People’s Park”.
It’s no secret why So Cal’s freestyle snowboarders and skiers make Bear Mountain their home mountain. Whether you’re goal is to front board a fun box or to just have more fun, Bear Mountain has the right parks for you.
New this winter for advanced park riders is theRed Bull Plaza. Set up high off chair 9, this urban oasis features four of the jibs you first saw at HDHR 2011. The Plaza contains a Kink Wall, 32′ long stairs to give an urban feel, some K-rails similar to those you see at concerts, and a marble ledge that provides riders with the smoothest sliding surface on the mountain.
If you still need some fine tuning before heading up to the Red Bull Plaza then hit our Skill Builder Parks to gain the confidence you need to tackle the rest of Bear Mountain’s signature features.
The Park at Bear Mountain
When you step into the scene at Bear you will find that MORE is what we are all about. More Jumps, More Jibs and More Transition covers 85% of the mountain. Our nearly 200 acre winter playground offers upwards of 165 beginner to advanced jibs including a huge variety of rails, boxes, walls, over 100 snow features of all shapes and sizes, and 4 pipes including Southern California’s only Superpipe. While other resorts “claim” it, we “build” it. With unique features found only at Bear you will never find yourself getting bored.
Bear Mountain’s Skill Builder Parks
Introduced last year, Bear Mountain’s Skill Builder Parks (SBP) are the perfect place to learn a new trick or teach a friend who’s just starting out. We’ll help you tap into your creative side and push your riding to the next level. SBP features signs with friendly tips to help you get started, polish your skills and learn mountain etiquette.
Packed with smaller versions of the snow features that make us famous, our Skill Builder Parks contain rails and boxes to help you safely transition into a confident rider with ease. Our park development team is committed the design and construction of every freestyle area on the mountain, resulting in a creative park system with endless options for all levels of skiers and snowboarders.

During the off-season, Park Staff builds and maintains all of our terrain park features to make sure they are in perfect form for the coming winter. The skiing and snowboarding rails, boxes, signature jibs and other unique beginner to advanced features at Bear provide the perfect framework for all your jibbing needs. Our park staff and pro team regularly test our evolving jib collection to ensure the features in THE PARK are all-time!
The Scene
The Scene is located just out front of the 13,000 sq ft sundeck. Have a drink, grab a bite and then go hike! New freestyle skiing and snowboarding features such as our signature jibs, boxes, rails, logs, and tanks are typically introduced in The Scene before they are laid out on the mountain. Park Staff rolls out new creations throughout the season to give you something new to look for each time you hit the snow.
